Success in a creative world is hard to come by. How many people do you that dream of quitting their day job? How many people can make that happen.
Failure in a creative business is rarely due to lack of passion. It's not because the new business owner doesn't work hard. Usually it's because we spend time working on things that don't matter.
Eeek!!! Why do we do this! For reals!!??
Is it fear?
Fear that if you try you might fail?
Here's your pep talk for the day (and the one I give myself when I'm trolling Pinterest for design ideas instead of calling those contacts I met at a networking meeting).
YOU are the only RIGHT person for your ideal clients. You don't have to the best in the world. You only have to be the best person for that client.
nstead of staying busy. Focus on becoming productive.
You might work less hours and see more results. You might work more hours and see tremendous business growth. You might actually spend time working on your business, not just in your business (meaning you finally send a regular email to your list or guest blog, go to networking meetings, etc.)
It helps to know what makes you stand out from your competition and makes you the best for that client. It helps to know your brand story.
